Welcome to the blog sharing the journey we are on of growing our family through adoption, as well as what life is like after the adoption has finalized.

There is a section where you can read some FAQs, check out the process we will be going through...as well as the blog posts filled with humor, joy, as well as probably some frustrations along the way!

Once again, welcome and let's enjoy the ride!!

Dom

Just wanted to update you on some sweet and wonderful things that I don't ever want to forget about my sons at these precious ages. Tonight I'll start with Dom...

As a side note we are transitioning Richard to his new first name Eli:

1. He truly says I love you mommy and I love you daddy without reservation now. He says it freely and without fear. Sigh, I love this!
2. He holds out strong at night and refuses to relax until he is certain Eli is sleeping. What a protector he is, an attribute I hope only strengthens as he grows.
3. His new found love for being social! This was a huge concern for many about 3 months ago but he stands nearly touching mommy or daddy and says to a stranger, "hello" just flashing his baby blues and hoping for a sweet smile in return.
4. His love for Grampy. Any time we are in the car now, "where grampy's race car? Where grampy?
5. The way he sings his sorrows for daddy when daddy's at work. In an operatic tone "Where daddy GOOOOO???"
6. His name for all people he meets who doesn't have a name in his mind. It comes out to sound like Chachy!
7. When he wants something that Eli has, "I sharing mommy" as he takes with force from Eli.
8. The song twinkle twinkle little star he sing the tune with jumble words, it's really cute.
9. The way he remembers books and picks it up and tells words from each page of the story...what a smarty pants.
10. His innocent obsession with taking food apart. Just yesterday he had a corn dog and he peeled off the breading and ate each peace then pulled the dog off the stick to gobble that down. How dare they mix bread with dog!

There will be more to come but that's it for tonight.
