Welcome to the blog sharing the journey we are on of growing our family through adoption, as well as what life is like after the adoption has finalized.

There is a section where you can read some FAQs, check out the process we will be going through...as well as the blog posts filled with humor, joy, as well as probably some frustrations along the way!

Once again, welcome and let's enjoy the ride!!

Eli...

I get to brag about my cute son Eli today:)

1. I call his brother Dom and Nick calls his brother Domer so Eli calls his brother Doma. We've determined it's Domer with a Boston accent.
2. He calls ghosts wooh's so any time he has anything over his head he starts "Wooooohhh." It's the funniest when it's a clear Tupperware that doesn't fit his face or the laundry basket that we can all clearly see through. He also wiggles his finger like he's spooking you.
3. We have one of those classic magnetic color boards and he LOVES this thing. For some reason he believes it's meant to be a partner activity. Around 5 times a day he holds the crayon part of it and drags the giant board behind him to find Nick or I and says "my hunnnn, my hunnn" (hunn is crayon) over and over until one of us participates in the coloring activity:)
4. He has so many silly names for things. One example is the baby powder. He is fully capable of saying powder or something close to it but he insist on calling it "my open." Open? Really kid? Obviously he wants it open but the name of it now is officially "open".
5. He's just developed his overhand throwing skills and love to practice his new trick. All things clutch-able are a throwing object. This includes his cup, bath toys, Dom's shoe, dog bones, trucks, rocks, ANYTHING!
6. If he wants you to hold something he gently weaves it between your fingers, before you know it your actually holding it!
7. When he has to go to time-out I ask "do you want the door open or closed" he says with all seriousness, "open" and slams it closed.
8. His love for hats, especially if its daddy's.
9. If people applaud his singing he says "ank you ank you" and bows his head to both sides like he's shaking water out of his ears.
10. His love for snuggling.
